10 Spider-Man Villains (And Combinations) Deserving Of The Big Screen

6. Mysterio

During the psychedelic years of the 1960s, Mysterio was one of the most out-there villains in comics. His costume and gimmick remains iconic and timeless to this day. Using a variety of special effects devices and hallucinogenic gases, Mysterio made Spider-Man go out of his mind on a number of occasions. Once, he convinced Spider-Man he was miniature sized and running around a deadly model amusement park. Imagining what Hollywood, with its limitless special effects capabilities, could do with a villain whose entire theme is special effects, illusions and trickery just gives me goosebumps. Forget Spider-Man; Mysterio could have audiences going out of their heads. The potential for 3-D and totally unprecedented fight scenes is staggering. If Mysterio doesn€™t make it into a Spider-Man movie, Hollywood is only screwing themselves. But please, Hollywood, listen carefully: nobody wants to see a gritty, edgy, realistic version of Mysterio. Give him his iconic costume. It's one of the most legendary in comics and audiences won't soon forget it (unlike, say, Rhino in nothing but a track suit).
