10 Spider-Man Villains Sony Should Keep (& 10 They Should Lend To The MCU)
9. KEEP: Hammerhead/Silvermane
Not every bad guy needs in Sony's world needs to be exceptionally super-powered. By introducing either of these two crime lords, Sony can continue their world-building on the ground level.
Hammerhead is a mob boss with a surgically reinforced skull and acts like a 1920s gangster. Silvio Manfredi, aka Silvermane, also heads an organized crime syndicate and had his vital organs and skull implanted in a cyborg body.
Whether or not the studio incorporates their superpowers, both Hammerhead and Silvermane are ready-made villains for Sony's world. Imagine Eddie Brock investigating both crime families by day and Venom taking them down at night.
The criminal underground worked well not only in the MCU's Defenders series but also in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy. It's a relatively low-risk play on Sony's part that maximizes the use of their overlooked properties.
