7. Marilyn Monroe: Hollywood's Hardest Working Ghost
The spirit of Marilyn Monroe has been dubbed the hardest working ghost in Hollywood. Many experts attribute this to the collective mourning that we go through when a star is taken from us too soon. People are so desperate to see these stars again that they seek them out everywhere. Since Monroe's tragic suicide in 1962 her spirit has been sighted all over Tinseltown. She's said to haunt the ladies room of the famous Knickerbocker hotel where she would drink with her ex-husband Joe DiMaggio.
Others have seen a pink mist near her grave at the Westwood Village Memorial Park, where visitors make the pilgrimage to kiss her marble crypt. The Roosevelt Hotel is also said to be another favourite haunt for Monroe's spirit where she has been spotted dancing in a full-length mirror. Most recently, a Marilyn Monroe lookalike from Scotland bought the star's former home in the Hollywood Hills.
Jasmine Chiswell claims to have caught Marilyn's ghost on camera, releasing the footage on social media. The heavy doors in the house supposedly open and close of their own accord, whilst visitors to the house claim to feel a sensation of being hugged. Whatever the truth, it's an advantageous turn of events for someone who's built their whole career around the star!
