10 Star Wars "Plot-Holes" That Really Aren't
6. How Do Ewoks Defeat Stormtroopers?
The Plot-Hole:
How do rotund, furry teddy bears with the waddling gait of a penguin and capable of the most adorable ‘Yub Yub’ speech imaginable manage to take on and trounce the Empire’s best?
But...
Because they are not teddy bears.
Cast your mind back to the home-made traps set for the Imperial walkers. One of these involves the piling up of truly massive logs. The other involves lifting two of said massive logs a good eight meters into the air. Handling loads of this size would require engineering prowess equal to that of the Roman Empire.
Apart from the intelligence and co-ordination involved in constructing these traps, the sheer strength needed to man-handle such immense weights without the use of engines is staggering. And not only do the Ewoks have to lift the trees, but they have to cut them down with stone axes. Recall also that the Ewoks were able to physically overpower the Stormtroopers and bludgeon them to death in spite of protective armour.
The conclusion? Not only is there more than stuffing between those cute ears but under that fur, Ewoks are ripped.
Far from being cute and harmless, Ewoks are badass.
