9. What Did The Clone Wars Actually Look Like?

Another question many a Star Wars lover coming out of that first trip to the galaxy far, far away was likely left asking involved the small matter of some battles.

The Clone Wars to be more precise.

After being briefly mentioned by Leia Organa in her recorded message, and Obi-Wan Kenobi when discussing/lying about Luke Skywalker's father to the son of Anakin, these hugely important battles are never really touched on again during the original trilogy.

Without any real information about them in the movies, just about every single child brought up on those first few films no doubt spent years imagining what their own version of a war involving Jedi fighting on a battlefield would look like.

Were the clones on the side of the Jedi or fighting against them?

What did they even look like?

It's easy to forget that these were just some of the questions that many fans waited a grand total of 25 years to finally get George Lucas' answer.

With the release of the second prequel Episode II - Attack of the Clones, though, the titular troopers finally made their on-screen debut, fighting alongside Yoda, Mace Windu, Anakin Skywalker, and Obi-Wan Kenobi as they kicked off a Clone War that people had been desperately wanting to see for a quarter of a century.
