10 Star Wars Characters Whose Fates Were Left Unresolved

1. Mace Windu

When Revenge of the Sith was released 18 years ago, Mace Windu was killed. There was no question. He had his hand cut off by Anakin and took a full-force hit from Palpatine's powers before falling from a very, very, very high window on Coruscant.

Game over, right? Well, maybe not.

Since then, the Star Wars universe has expanded exponentially, and fans have learned to never assume anything. To borrow from Bane in The Dark Knight Rises, "show me his body" - without a corpse, there's no confirmation of his death.

Take Darth Maul for example. Surely, after being sliced in half by a lightsaber and falling down a giant pit of doom, you could safely assume that the Emperor's apprentice was done for. However, he managed to survive, and would eventually grow to similar power levels like what he had before.

So, Mace Windu could have done something similar. Right now, there's absolutely no telling what truly happened to him, though this writer can't be the only one wishing he comes face-to-face with the titular character in a second season of The Book of Boba Fett.
