10 Star Wars Characters Whose Fates Were Left Unresolved

You could use the term 'hot mess' to describe the Star Wars sequel trilogy, and you wouldn't be stepping out of line. The whole J.J. Abrams to Rian Johnson and back to J.J. Abrams thing clearly didn't work, but it wasn't just threads that ran throughout the whole uneven trilogy that fell flat.

It felt like The Last Jedi almost went out of its own way to ignore the foundations laid down by The Force Awakens, and in turn, The Rise of Skywalker did the same to The Last Jedi. However, there were several key elements from just Episode 9 alone that either made no sense, or went absolutely nowhere.

One of these was Jannah. As a character, there was absolutely nothing wrong with her. She played a big part in The Rise of Skywalker, and as another ex-Imperial, had an immediate connection with Finn.

If only things had been left there.

Instead, the movie had to shoe-horn in a scene between her and Lando Calrissian, suggesting some sort of familial connection. In fairness, there's always a familial connection in Star Wars, but this was totally unnecessary as it went nowhere, and likely never will.

Of course, there are rumours and theories that Lando is Jannah's father, but unless the two show up in Rey's upcoming movie, no one will ever know.
