10 Star Wars Legends Characters We Desperately Want To Return

The main antagonist of the 2003 video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Darth Malak started out as a Jedi Knight named Alek. He fought with a fellow Jedi named Revan in the Mandalorian Wars, and travelled with him into the Unknown Regions. After the pair returned as Sith, they started the Jedi Civil War against the Republic and the Jedi. Their partnership was shaky and Malak attempted to overthrow Revan. However he proved to be no match for his fellow Sith, and Revan removed his jaw with his Lightsaber, resulting in Malak being forced to wear a prosthetic for the remainder of his life.

After Revan had his mind wiped and was retrained as a Jedi, Darth Malak was the sole villain in the war. He eventually was able to convert the Jedi Bastila Shan to the Dark Side, using her Battle Meditation to aid him as he attempted to use the Star Forge. He proved no match for Revan, however, and ultimately was killed in their duel as the Star Forge was destroyed around them.

Darth Malak is another fan favourite character from the Old Repuclic era. As previously mentioned with Nihilus and Shan, this era has not yet been explored in the new canon, leaving the possibility of a new appearance from Malak in the future.
