10 Star Wars Mistakes You Can’t Unsee
1. Switching Lightsabers - Revenge Of The Sith
It had all been leading to here. The moment where Anakin Skywalker and his long-time Master/confidant came to blows in the wake of the former's dramatic fall into the Dark Side of the Force. And for the most part, it has to be said that George Lucas and the gang massively delivered the goods in terms of spectacle, glorious choreography and tugging on the heart strings.
However, for all the good this iconic battle between good and recently-realised-evil possessed, the gripping duel wasn't without its mistakes. Most notably as Anakin appears to get the better of his wise-cracking former ally, a close-up showcases the newly-turned-Sith using Obi-Wan's own weapon against him as he attempts to incinerate his skull. As you do.
But, as the next shot comes around, slightly zoomed out from the previous close-up, Obi-Wan's blade is abruptly switched to Anakin's out of nowhere. Again, this appears to be a clear case of a section of this thrilling bout being coldly chopped out in the editing suite, leaving us with an easily missed mistake that you'll likely never unsee in the trilogy-concluding battle amidst the flames.
