10 Star Wars Universe Characters Who Deserve Their Own Movie

Qui-Gon Jinn could easily carry a solo film!

So, the Skywalker Saga has come to an end and it's left audiences with mixed feelings. Some believe the story was a fair addition to the original trilogy, whereas some hate everything about the Disney Era of Star Wars. No one would have thought in 2015 that the new trilogy would be the weakest of the franchise.

The spinoffs, however, have all excelled. Rogue One was an interesting diversion from the main saga, taking events we know about and adding more layers and depth to the story. Solo was an enjoyable space romp and Alden Ehrenreich did a commendable job as the famous smuggler.

These Star Wars stories allow more time for side characters and can often deliver more compelling stories than the main entries. Somehow, the story of a bounty hunter and a child turned out more interesting than the closing chapter of the Skywalker Saga. That's...surprising.

With many more spinoffs in the pipeline for characters such as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Cassian Andor, it seems Disney is going to start exploring the niche sides of the Star Wars galaxy. There are numerous characters in this world that deserve their own film and/or series.

10. Zorri Bliss

Zorri Bliss is an interesting character. Sadly, she serves only as a plot device in The Rise of Skywalker, and there is a lot more depth that could be explored going forward. Bliss is the leader of spice runners during the war between The First Order and The Resistance, so her duplicity could be explored in her solo adventure.

We also see glimpses of her relationship Poe Dameron, something that could also be mined going forward. What's really great about Bliss is the wonderful actress portraying her - Keri Russell was phenomenal in The Americans and she deserves to be given more to chew on for this part.

There is a lot we don't know about the galaxy after The Rise of Skywalker. The fringe groups of The First Order still exist and there could still be some factions that need hunting down, so why not tell that story with Bliss? She aligned with The Resistance at the end of the film, so have her be a conflicted Resistance leader going forward. Zorri Bliss is one of the most compelling Sequel trilogy characters we have seen, so a spinoff for her just seems like a no-brainer.
