10 Stephen King Fan Theories That Make Appalling Sense

1. Stephen King Has A Urine Fetish

It’s a common trope in books, movies and TV shows that fictional characters rarely do human, everyday things like taking a piss. But not in Stephen King books, oh no. Over the course of his oeuvre, King has dropped enough Jimmy Riddle references to generate enough urine to fill a small ocean.

Of course, he’s a horror writer so his characters naturally find themselves in terrifying situations being terrorised by child-killing clowns, bloodhungry vampires, homicidal automobiles and the like – all circumstances in which pissing one’s pants in fright would be completely justified.

But it’s not just fear-induced pants-wetting situations we’re talking about here. Urinating is also a key plot point in The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, Gerald’s Game, Cujo and The Green Mile too.

So, why is there so much tinkling in King’s books? The man clearly has a pee fetish, or urolagnia to give it it’s proper name. Seriously, the unusual prevalence of piss in his novels is even discussed on websites dedicated to pee fetishism which are quite eye-opening if you dare to Google them.

Well, we all have our vices.
