10 Storyline Ideas For A Boba Fett Spin Off Film

1. Shadows Of The Empire

The first time a lot of people experienced Shadows of the Empire was on the Nintendo 64 in 1996. To many, this may have been the game where the concept of "rage quitting" was introduced to us in battling Boba Fett. Not only did you have to beat the man in the armor, you then had to fight his ship Slave I. He was the hardest part of that video game. For those unaware, the Shadows of the Empire video game is actually based on a novel written by Steve Perry. This story takes place between the events of Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi . A central piece to this story is the attempt to recover Han Solo from Boba Fett before he is delivered to Jabba the Hutt. This is a bit of cheat as this story is not a Boba Fett centric tale. However, it has to be weighed that for a solid story about Boba Fett to be successful on screen, he can not be the protagonist and will need at least another character to help carry the film. If done correctly, an adaptation of Shadows of the Empire for could get that right. Much like a lot of the Marvel films have used comic book story arcs for source material, a Shadows of the Empire film could do the same. It would be a stretch but it could be accomplished by removing central characters like Leia and Luke and only using Dash Rendar's character. Dash Rendar is one of the main and most beloved characters from the Expanded Universe in this story. If Leia and Luke were removed from the story, it would change the landscape of the original story but if given a Boba Fett / Dash Rendar focus, it could work. It is highly unlikely that this would ever be the case but die hard fans of the video game and book would love to see this story told on screen. What do you think?
