7. Why Is The Emergency Shuttle Not Ready To Go Immediately And Not Have Enough Room? - Alien
Alien is one of the best sci-fi films ever made, but it still has its share of plot holes. One of the most glaring is the fact that despite being a fairly large interstellar ship, its emergency escape vessel is both not ready for immediate departure and doesn't have enough room for the entire crew. While similar situations have happened in real life where not enough escape boats are available (the Titanic), you'd think since it's a freaking spaceship, they'd have thought things out a little bit better. What's the point of even having an emergency escape vessel if you have to spend hours prepping it for launch and it's not equipped to handle the entire crew.
