Turns out that space isn't the final frontier. The final frontier is producing a surprisingly polished comedy pilot for a show about a vampire lawyer. Its name? Vampire Lawyer, a project that Star Trek's new Captain Kirk, Chris Pine, has apparently been working on for years. Chris Pine is very serious about his commitment to Vampire Lawyer. Which is strange, because it's a show called Vampire Lawyer. About a vampire lawyer. Who is, naturally, played by Chris Pine. Apparently Pine's been working on this passion project in secret for years, and it's only this past week that it finally debuted on Funny Or Die. Or at least, that's what the end credits would have you believe the short itself only takes up about thirty seconds of the video, and the rest is dedicated to outtakes that run alongside the voluminous end credits, including the reveal that the whole thing was green screened. Okay, so Vampire Lawyer's "vanity project" status is part of the joke, but the sheer number of celebrities who appear in videos on Funny Or Die is pretty strange in and of itself. Despite the lack of payment on their end the site's managed to get the likes of Brad Pitt, Jim Carrey and Ellen Page to turn up and make tits of themselves. For free!
