Star Wars is one the biggest, if not the biggest franchise in all of cinema, and something that everyone wants to be a part of. Daniel Craig and Simon Pegg, among others, enjoyed cameo appearances in the Force Awakens, while Tom Hardy and Joseph Gordon-Levitt appeared in the Last Jedi.

This tradition was continued in the Rise of Skywalker. While the likes of Dominic Monaghan and Jodie Comer had cameos in Episode IX, these weren't exactly hidden. Some that may have been missed however were the voices of Liam Neeson, Alec Guiness, Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Frank Oz, and Samuel L. Jackson speaking to Rey as the voices of the lost Jedi. On top of this, the Clone Wars' Olivia d'Abo (Luminara Unduli), Jennifer Hale (Aayla Secura), and Star Wars Rebels' Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka Tano) and Freddie Prinze Jr. (Kanan Jarrus) also speak to the trilogy's hero.

His Dark Materials star Lin-Manuel Miranda appeared as a rebel in the background of one scene, while John Williams also featured in a blink and you'll miss it cameo on Kijimi. Warwick Davies hid his face as Wicket the Ewok, as did Ed Sheeran who reportedly appeared as a Stormtrooper.

Moaning Myrtle herself, Shirley Henderson, lent her voice to the movie as Babu Frik, Kevin Smith graced the screen for no more than a split second, and none other than the director himself, J.J. Abrams, portrayed the newest Star Wars droid, D-O. That is a LOT of fan service to fit into one movie.
