10 Stupid Moments In Christopher Nolan Films

8. David Bowie Plays Nikola Tesla (The Prestige)

The Prestige David Bowie I wouldn't dare to try and besmirch David Bowie for his performance as Nikola Tesla in The Prestige; it's a wonderfully spirited performance that's in sure contrast to the more outlandish turns the singer has given throughout his career. The blame, instead, lies with Nolan and his casting department for allowing such a blatant spot of stunt casting into their film. Though Bowie does well, I found myself constantly pulled out of his scenes and distracted by Bowie's presence - it seemed unnecessary and something employed just for a giggle. Given how crucially Tesla figures in the plot, this seems like something of a silly move by Nolan and his casting directors.
