10 Stupid Moments In Christopher Nolan Films

3. Goofy Cops Galore (Batman Begins & The Dark Knight)

Batman Begins It gets worse, though; it makes me think that Nolan must have something against cops because he consistently writes them as such awful, idiotic caricatures in all of his films (with the exceptions being Jim Gordon and John Blake). Let's start with Batman Begins; during the Tumbler chase, the cops are all portrayed as gormless buffoons. One is looking out for the Tumbler and says, "At least tell me what it looks like ...Never mind", and then there's the horribly cringe-inducing cop who says through his radio, "He's comin' right up on yer butt!", moments before the Tumbler destroys the cop car and speeds past. The Dark Knight isn't much better; one cop, while hurling one of Maroni's men into a cop car near the start of the film, says, "Have a nice trip, see you next fall", a laughably bad pun that's funny for all the wrong reasons.
