10 Stupidest Ever Things Done In Star Wars Movies

Zam Wessel, an assassin in the employ of Jango Fett, attempts to kill Queen Amidala but is foiled by Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. The opening sequences of Attack Of The Clones see her fleeing across Coruscant to escape her Jedi pursuers. After leading the pair on a high-rise chase, she tries to sneak up on the pair as they look for her in a sleazy bar. Obi-Wan's Jedi senses kick in and he chops off her gun hand before she can finish the job.

Zam messes up twice here. Firstly, she's trying to get away, and she's succeeded. The two Jedi have lost her in the crowded bar and all she has to do is walk away. But instead, she decides to turn around and bring the fight to her pursuers, for absolutely no gain to herself except to reveal her location to the Jedi hunting her down.

So far, so stupid. But Zam Wessel is also a shapeshifter. She can take on the appearance of anyone, which is something she manifestly decides not to do. Presumably it was her shapeshifting nature that made her an ideal choice of assassin, but she doesn't bother to use it when looking like someone else would be extremely useful for getting out of Dodge.

It's no surprise that Jango Fett executes her with a Kaminoan Saber Dart. It's not just to stop her from talking, it's punishment for her howling incompetence.
