10 Superhero Movie Clichés Everybody Secretly Loves

1. Heroes Battling Faceless Goons In Climactic Battle

Everyone loves to see superheroes perform outrageous feats of strength and speed. We come to the best theatres—with surround sound speakers and high-quality IMAX images—to watch such visual splendour. We enjoy seeing heroes show off their abilities and let loose against enemies.

But in well written movies, we also love the villains and don't want them to fail too quickly. Sometimes we want to see them come back in a second, third, or even fourth outing to face our favourite heroes again. When the heroes face crowds of nameless goons, we can have both.

We get to see Hulk unleash his power against leviathan or see the Flash zip through an onslaught of enemies. Having the heroes battle faceless goons allows them to showcase some of their lesser known abilities and oftentimes do so in a more successful, grandiose way without fear of prematurely defeating the big bad.

We may complain that we don't get to see characters fight a single opponent often enough but even when they attack irrelevant hoards, we get to see some awesome scenes.
