10 Superhero Teams Who Deserve A Movie After Guardians Of The Galaxy

10. The Inhumans

The Inhumans are a race of genetically modified humans who first appeared in an early issue of Fantastic Four, but have since become a mainstay of the Marvel universe. Led by their silent king Black Bolt, the Royal Family represent the Inhuman race in the majority of their appearances. Other members include the Inhumans queen Medusa, who can control her hair, and Gorgon, a cousin of the family who can create intense shockwaves with his legs. The Adams Family have nothing on these guys!

Based in the fictional city of Attilan, the Inhumans experiment with a process known as terrigenesis which gives them special abilities, but can also potentially cause harm and even genetic defects. The results of exposure to the Terrigen Mists determines each Inhumans place within the rigid caste system of their society.

Many people assume superhero movies are just mindless entertainment, but the X-Men franchise proved that comic book films can explore sociological issues that affect us all, such as prejudice and obedience. The Royal Family are the face of the Inhumans, but it would be interesting to explore the caste system through the eyes of a character lower in status who is perhaps forced for face the Terrigen Mists against their will. At one point, the Inhumans also created a slave race known as the Alpha Primitives who acted as a labor force for their society. Just imagine X-Men meets 12 Years A Slave... set on the moon!

Sure, that sounds ridiculous, but an Inhumans movie could cover a huge range of fascinating issues in the guise of a superhero movie. Linking these characters to either the Fantastic Four or the Guardians of the Galaxy would be a logical step to take next, depending on who owns the rights of course. Even the Avengers could become involved, as the Inhuman Crystal married Quicksilver in the comics and became a member of the team at one point. There are huge possibilities to be explored with these characters Someone make it happen!
