10 Superheroes That May Need Recasting (And Who Should Play Them)

7. Lex Luthor - Ed Harris

Following the Zack Snyder's rather different take on Lex Luthor, DC will probably return to a more traditional take on the character if a Man of Steel 2 ever gets made.

Ed Harris should be the one to portray that more traditional version.

Westworld saw Harris wonderfully play a man masquerading as a well-to-do CEO that was in reality a bloodthirsty killer. His brief appearance in the Snowpiercer movie saw him as another CEO, a role which Harris played with an annoying charm that said "I am doing the right thing even though I let a group of people become cannibals and send children to their deaths on a regular basis''.

A traditional take on Luthor is a sort of amalgamation of those two characters, meaning Harris would brilliantly bring the villain to life.

The bitterness Harris brought to both of those roles, particularly in Westworld, would even mean that he could fit into a Man of Steel sequel that continued with a similar bleakness to Snyder's DC efforts.
