10 Supporting Film Characters Who Completely Stole The Show

7. Christoph Waltz €“ Inglourious Basterds

Five years ago, few people in the English-speaking world knew Christoph Waltz€™s name. His supporting role in Tarantino€™s Inglourious Basterds changed all that. Nicknamed €˜The Jew Hunter€™, Waltz€™s SS colonel Hans Landa opens the film with what amounts to an incredible 10-minute long monologue, with some back-and-forth between Denis Ménochet€™s Perrier LaPadite. It€™s an amazing scene, and as much as Brad Pitt gives a thoroughly memorable performance in the lead, Waltz€™s work with these extended scenes filled with dialogue absolutely stole the show in spite of his supporting character role. Signature Steal: €œI love rumours! Facts can be so misleading, whereas rumours, true or false, are often revealing.€
