Mission Impossible: Fallout deals with Ethan Hunt going on the hunt (oh, dang, his name's a pun) for a terrorist dedicated to destabilizing the world and nuking religious sites. While the man behind the missiles seems like he might be the main villain, turns out for years he was working with the CIA. Yes, the CIA was funding, supporting and safe-guarding a terrorist. But enough about politics.

During the course of the film, Ethan finds out that the CIA operative he's been working with, Henry Cavill and his mustache, is actually the terrorist villain the whole time. After a gag with Simon Pegg wearing a mask (yes, for real), it's confirmed that the terrorist, Cavill's John Lark, has been using the CIA as a cover to help him find anyone who knows any information about his true identity, and silence them.

Worse yet, after finding out that their team has been compromised, and one of the biggest terrorists in the world has been working for them this whole time, the CIA director still decides that the IMF team can't be trusted and sends a whole team to capture the terrorist and the people who turned him in. Of course, this doesn't work because - surprise, surprise - turns out that there are a bunch of other moles in the CIA. Corrupt from the bottom up. Who needs a Rogue Nation?
