10 Supposedly Terrible Actors Who Proved They Can Really Act

1. Matthew McConaughey

Killer Joe Matthew Mcconaughey Boy howdy, I never thought I'd see the day when I would praise Matthew McConaughey. But here I am, in the middle of What Culture, telling you that he's actually a talented human being. Not only that, but a phenomenally talented human being. If you want clear evidence of this, look no further than Killer Joe, a movie that came out last year that will make you unbelievably unsettled and only greatly impressed with what Matthew McConaughey is capable of when he stops being terrible for a while. There's a darkness and a real skillset hidden beneath Matthew's undeniable natural charm that he seems to be putting to full advantage in movies like Mud and The Wolf of Wall Street€”a Scorsese movie also starring Jonah Hill, who almost made this list. I am positively loving this back half of McConaughey's career, unabashedly drinking in his dulcet Southern tones and smooth acting prowess. No shame.
