7. The Convenience Store (Bad Boys)
Because this list apparently couldn't make do with just one scene featuring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence squabbling, here's another. Rather than labour the point that these two can't get along for more than five minutes, Bay gives us this hilarious scene set inside a convenience store that for me features easily the most memorable one-liner in the entire film, and perhaps in all of Bay's filmography.
Convenience Store Clerk: Hey, freeze b**ch! (the clerks points his gun at Julie, at which point Mike and Marcus cease arguing and point both their guns at the clerk's head) Mike:You freeze, b**ch! Convenience Store Clerk: Oh s***, Im f***ed. Mike: Now back up, put the gun down, and get me a pack of Tropical Fruit Bubblicious. Marcus: And some Skittles.
Proof that with the right script, Bay
can do humour right, Bad Boys has given the director many of his strongest moments to date.
