The Movie: This fictionalised retelling of the Battle of Thermopylae has plenty of action, blood, gore and rather strangely, leather hot pants in Zack Snyder's adaptation of Frank Millers stylised graphic novel. Tear-Jerker Moment: After defying incredible odds Spartan King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and his brave 300 are betrayed by the hunchback Ephialtes who leads the Persians around the defensible Hot Gates. They are surrounded and face certain death but not before Leonidas makes the God King Xerxes bleed. He goes out in a hail of arrows after roaring his love for his Queen. The tag line for 300 was 'Prepare For Glory'. It should have said 'Prepare For The Sniffles'.
