The Movie: In a post-apocalyptic world where savagery rules, one man travels the roads kicking major-league butt. He puts his skills to the test, helping a community escape from a bunch of mutant village people in George Miller's seminal action flick.
Tear Jerker Moment: Confusion reigns supreme with alpha dogs at the end of Mad Max II. Our eponymous hero is left battered and broken in the desert after risking life and limb to ensure the good guys get to their lives in the Promised Land, but faster than you can say "throw another gimp on the barbie," the good guys actually leave Max behind! That kind of unfairness never sits well with hard men and confusion usually gives way to incredulity, which is usually made worse when they realise the same thing happens again in Mad Max III.
