7. Ice Age: Continental Drift
How long does it take for an ice age to finally wipe out a species? According to the creative team behind the dull and predictable Ice Age series, as long as there is still profit to be made. This, the 4th film in the series finds the still not extinct mammals doing battle with a group of monkey pirates. Yes, that old plot line. Its hard to imagine a child, with a limited attention span, enjoying this flat line film. What it has to offer audiences are a handful of imaginative 3D ready set pieces sending the animals flying off icebergs and doing battle with rogue waves. Save for those entertaining but ultimately hollow segments, this is another predictable and generally boring animated film, with none of the charm and humor that the first one contained. And of course, when you have master thespians like Drake and Nicki Minaj lending their voices to the mix, you know you have struck gold. Ice Age: Continental Drift made nearly 10 times it's $95 million budget back at the box office, which would surely be enough of a reason to keep things warm for a bit longer.
