10 Terrible 2017 Films That Will Get Sequels Anyway
9. The Boss Baby
The Boss Baby follows an infant secret agent in the war with puppies, fought over adults' affection. For the most part, it's as dumb as it sounds.
Despite the occasional flash of wit and a decent voice cast headed up by Alec Baldwin, Steve Buscemi and Lisa Kudrow, the novelty of a baby acting like an adult is the punchline to every joke, and it soon wears thin.
Critics didn't exactly go gaga over The Boss Baby, but mixed reviews aren't a huge problem when you've made $498.9 million worldwide off a budget of $125 million.
There's clearly an audience for Baldwin-voiced babies in the lucrative family market, so DreamWorks Animation has lined up The Boss Baby 2 for release in 2021.
