10 Terrible Live Action Anime Adaptations

3. Blood: The Last Vampire

Blood: The Last Vampire was a stylish horror anime following a girl who hunts vampires with a very large sword; it was light on story and dialogue, but high on action and mood. Blood quickly got some spin-offs with a manga, an anime, and after a few years in development hell, a movie in 2009.

It was a stilted affair that failed to recapture the anime's tone and was burdened with poor quality CGI effects, hammy overacting and a sense that nobody involved with it particularly wanted to be there.

Good old Ser Davos himself Liam Cunningham pops up once in a while to lend some gravitas, and he’s so good you almost wish they’d make him the lead character. Instead, he dies about halfway through, and the audience envies him for being able to leave early.
