10 Terrible Looking 2019 Movies That Will Shockingly Make A Profit

Release Date: September 13

Spies in Disguise is already a shoo-in for the weirdest studio animation released in 2019, a bizarre spy spoof in which Will Smith voices a super-suave spy who...gets turned into a pigeon, while Tom Holland voices his techie pal, because of course.

This film comes courtesy of Blue Sky Studios, the company behind the mediocre likes of Rio, Epic, the Ice Age franchise and Ferdinand. As such, there's little reason to expect anything above soulless slop, and the trailer certainly doesn't suggest otherwise.

But Blue Sky has never released a commercial flop, with each of their 12 movies to date scoring at least double its production budget, and many of them several times more.

To put it into perspective, their combined box office receipts are over $5.5 billion worldwide, against a cumulative budget of just under $1 billion. That's a rock solid return-on-investment right there.

Releasing with zero direct competition, there's nothing standing in the way of a strong performance on its estimated $110 million budget.

Predicted Box Office: $390 million
