7. Randal Graves - Clerks

Without question one of my own personal heroes, though a character that nobody in their right mind would reasonably employ, one can only believe that Randall Graves was hired by RST Video when he was younger and less cynical, because by the time we meet him in Clerks, he's a flat-out belligerent misanthrope who can't stand the company of anyone but his friend Dante. His defiance of authority includes closing the store for several hours in order to play hockey, ordering pornography tapes while a child stands feet away, and ripping his customers to shreds over the videos they rent and the dumb questions they ask. Though anyone who has worked in a retail environment will easily be able to sympathise with Randall, I don't think his bosses - who presumably mustn't visit very often - would feel the same way. Plus, one can imagine that his bitter view on life would only get worse throughout the years, something supported by Clerks 2. As for Clerks 3, we'll have to wait and see...
