10 Terrible Movies Everyone Goes Way Too Easy On

1. Quantum Of Solace

Eon Productions

More than any other film on this list, Quantum Of Solace has had a strange journey post-release. Initially subjected to mixed reviews, then sliding down in estimations once everyone rewatched Casino Royale and remembered what good Bond looked like, over time people began to see it as a series low akin to Die Another Day, rather than a slight drop-off from Daniel Craig's first outing. And then Skyfall happened.

Oh Skyfall - the behemoth that showed how self aware Bond movies could be, the film that simultaneously toasted to the past fifty years and sped towards the future, the masterpiece that made more money than both The Dark Knight Rises and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Yeah, it was pretty damn good. Normally in this situation a runt like Quantum would be only made worse by comparison, but because the series turned things around so quickly (something Warner Bros. didn't do following the Batman And Robin debacle) and so confidently everybody just moved on.

All that Adele crooning and Silva flirting placed Quantum Of Solace as the awkward sibling to Skyfall and Casino Royale. And while those two played with the 007 formula, Quantum just did away with it; with poor, Bourne-aping action and paper thin plot it hardly even qualifies as a Bond film.

Which bad movies do you think often get away with it? And more importantly, does anybody want to stand up and defend any of the films on this list? Go to the comments and fight your side.
