10 Terrible Movies That Have Surprisingly Awesome Soundtracks

6. Showgirls

The Movie: The stripper movie that doesn't have Demi Moore in it is somehow better than the one that does have Demi Moore in it. That's weird, right? Especially since Showgirls starred a member of Saved By the Bell that wasn't Tiffani Amber Theissen. Anyways, Elizabeth Berkley does a lot of overacting and manages to make a movie about strippers feel not just unsexy, but almost impossible to watch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEyta2VdWBo&list=PL930AE99F94F61A53 The Soundtrack: Unlike its equally dire twin, Striptease, the soundtrack to Showgirls at least offers some depth. Instead of cheesy 80s stage "classics" like "Mony Mony" and "I Hate Myself For Loving You," Showgirls shows some genuine attitude, reveling in the kind of raw sexuality that was missing from the actual movie. Siouxsie and the Banshees, No Doubt, and David Bowie all bring different levels of sexually charged energy, and there an unrelenting industrial edge that runs throughout.
