10 Terrible Movies That Reward You For Staying Until The End

The Amazing Spider-Man movies starring Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker were meant to breathe life back into the webslinger following the end of Sam Raimi’s trilogy. Whilst those films are regarded as classics, nobody holds Garf’s efforts in that same regard, which is sad, because he seems like a nice guy really.

The second film, which came out in 2014, pits Spidey against Jamie Foxx’s Electro for most of the runtime, providing some decent, if underwhelming superhero fodder. That all changes with the arrival of Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn, now in full Green Goblin mode.

Gobbo turns up right at the end of the film but wastes no time in making an impact. He kidnaps Peter’s love interest, Gwen Stacy, which leads to her falling from a great height. Spider-Man tries to save her, but doesn’t get there in time.

This ending is directly lifted from The Amazing Spider-Man #121, one of the most famous issues in comic book history. To see this replicated so accurately on film was a dream come true for many superhero fans. Too bad it’s attached to such a mediocre offering.
