10 Terrible Movies With Awesome Endings

4. The One

As much dumb fun as The One might be, it's also an astoundingly stupid sci-fi action film in which a rogue multiversal agent, Gabriel Yulaw (Jet Li), plots to kill all 124 alternate versions of himself across the multiverse in order to absorb their powers and become, yes, The One.

An awesome concept for sure, yet The One's thin, exposition-heavy script and not-quite-big-enough budget make it tough to fully buy in.

The final scene, though? An undeniable, ultra-badass all-timer.

Yulaw is eventually defeated and sent to a hellish penal colony in the Hades Universe, where he promises he'll still find a way to become The One.

At that moment, he starts a fight with all the prisoners in his vicinity, all while Papa Roach's inimitable nu-metal classic "Last Resort" starts blaring out.

The camera then pulls back to reveal hundreds of prisoners approaching the structure that Yulaw's fighting on top of, teasing an epic, ultimate fight to the death just as the movie cuts to black.

Now that is how you end a movie.
