10 Terrible Recent Marvel Comics Moments That Shouldn't Make It Into The MCU

8. Nick Fury, Ghost Of Christmas Past

Marvel's priority these days seems to be keeping their comic books as close in line with the movies as possible, and so Original Sin appeared to exist solely to get rid of the original Nick Fury (in his place was his son, a Samuel L. Jackson lookalike who was introduced in the most hilariously convoluted way). Rather than killing off the fan-favourite Marvel stalwart in epic fashion, though, the series took a very weird and unexpected approach. As punishment for murdering The Watcher, the other Watchers punished Fury for that and his many misdeeds by transforming him into 'The Unseen', a chained silent observer of Earth who can't be seen by anyone and is basically forced to walk around forever. It was the weirdest possible way for Marvel to take Nick Fury off the table, and it's hard to imagine Marvel Studios ever being stupid enough to follow this particular storyline.
