10 Terrible Things Everyone Forgets About Beloved Movie Characters

3. Thor Is Racist Against Frost Giants

One of the things everyone agrees was an awesome move on Thor Ragnarok's part was how it absolutely eviscerated the myth and supposed nobility behind Asgard and Odin. Everything is called into question, all the way down to the film asking the audience how Odin could have procured the amount of gold necessary to construct an entire throne room out of the stuff.

Shame the same isn't done for the Frost Giants.

This wasn't as big a deal before, but after Captain Marvel built its entire second and third act around "hey maybe this classic Marvel villain species is a bit more complex and sympathetic than you thought" the fact that the Frost Giants are treated as so much cannon fodder becomes a tad bit more uncomfortable.

It's a shame that Thor never once stops and thinks to himself "holy s**t was I just used as an accessory to genocide?" Especially considering that his own brother is part Frost Giant himself.
