10 Terribly Cheap Mockbusters That Ripped Off Famous Movies
6. Ratatoing
Only one year after the release of The Little Cars, that pesky Brazilian animation studio Video Brinquedo was at it again, this time riffing off the Disney and Pixar release Ratatouille, with the appallingly titled Ratatoing.
However, this 2007 attempt at animation doesn't really even qualify as a movie, as it only clocks in with a brisk 44 minute run time. Technically, if anything, that's either a long cartoon or a full-length television episode. Whether they didn't have the money, or the story, to push it to a full-length feature is anybody's guess, but it's probably a good thing.
If you dare to risk putting yourself in for the longest 44 minutes of your life, you'll be treated to a movie that follows an aspiring chef rat determined to ensure his food is the best. To do this, he goes on missions to steal food from human restaurants. Who knew rats were so picky about ingredients?
