10 Terribly Reviewed Movies That Made A Fortune

5. Shrek The Third

shrek-600x300 Another three-quel that finds its way on to the list is the disappointing third installment of the Shrek franchise. The rule of diminishing returns didn€™t really apply to this except in terms of quality. Based solely on the strength of its predecessors this film made a ludicrous $798 million worldwide during its run. Not so much an appalling film, more a victim of how good the first two were. It might sound strange to say that this is the first one that felt like a kids film, without any of the charm or magic of series. Too many weak pop-culture references rather than original comedy, this feels more like a cheap forced manufacture rather than a natural expansion to the universe. €œChildren may devour the slapstick, but the once-mighty Shrek has somehow lost all his charm and spiky humour.€ €“ James Christopher of Times UKRotten Tomatoes: 41% IMDB user rating: 6.0
