10 Terrifying Horror Films That Will Haunt Your 2015
3. The Woman In Black: Angel Of Death
Release date: 1 January On paper a sequel to Hammer's highly successful (if somewhat controversial) adaptation of Susan Hill's classic ghost story The Woman In Black seems like a phenomenally bad idea. Well, in the business sense not so much, because the first film had such a huge audience that they could slap the name on any old tripe and it'd clean up at the box office. In theory, though, continuing what's such a singular and personal story just doesn't appear to make a whole lot of sense. Throw in the fact that Daniel Radcliffe won't be returning to star for reasons that are obvious if you've seen the first film and that it's an original screenplay, and it seems like a recipe for disaster. But the synopsis sounds genuinely interesting (the haunted mansion of Eel Marsh is used as a refuge for young evacuees during the Blitz, skipping forward a few years from the first film), it's being directed Peaky Blinders' Tom Harper, and the trailers look bloody terrifying.
