10 Theories For How Deadpool Could Join MCU
6. A Complete Reboot (With Ryan Reynolds)
Simple, but effective, a full-blown reboot would be a good way to move on from the past and keep Ryan Reynolds in the role...even if it means he's playing a totally new version of Wade Wilson. Just like Spider-Man, there would be no need to address his origin story, and he could just enter the MCU as a fully formed character who just so happens to have now started making his presence felt.
As successful as the franchise was with an R-Rating, Once Upon A Deadpool's success at the box office when it was released with a PG-13 edit proves that moviegoers will follow this character into any setting. He doesn't need F-Bombs and jokes about sex toys to be a hit, and the fact so many kids love Deadpool pretty much guarantees there's an audience for a reboot like this.
Providing he remains as funny as he was in those first two films, the Merc With a Mouth being completely overhauled for the MCU would be no bad thing, especially if it helps the franchise move on from the baggage it was forced to hold on to courtesy of those mostly awful X-Men movies.
