10 Theories For How Deadpool Could Join MCU

5. A Team-Up With Spider-Man

It's probably too late for this to happen in 2021's Spider-Man 3, but if Marvel Studios is looking for a way to introduce Deadpool in a way that leads to a sure fire box office hit, the pairing him up with the web-slinger is definitely a step in the right direction.

These two have had countless comic book adventures together, and their dynamic is endlessly entertaining. Having Spidey cross paths with Deadpool during his fourth solo outing set in the MCU would not only result in one weird, wonderful movie, but also potentially help set the stage for Ryan Reynolds' Wade Wilson to then make the leap into his own franchise.

Sure, Marvel Studios could go ahead and just release a Deadpool 3 (and even stick Spider-Man in it), but just like the wall-crawler was rebooted for the big screen in Captain America: Civil War, reintroducing this character in another franchise and establishing a fresh status quo just makes sense. As for what direction this could take, a classic face off followed by a team-up is an obvious must.
