7. Misplaced, Needless Humour
Fox StudiosHumour occurs in all walks of life. It can even occur at what seems like the most inappropriate of times - it's a mechanism we use to deal with things - but it can be misplaced and unnecessary and Marvel's movies seem to have that down to a T. Dance scenes in Spider-Man 3 and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, Darcy Lewis' annoying chirpiness and Ben Grimm's horrifically cheesy one-liners ("Yeah, that's right, keep running Boo Boo. Overgrown furball!"); it's all highly unnecessary and doesn't really add anything to proceedings - especially when humour comes so naturally to the likes of Tony Stark. Don't get us wrong, humour is great and it should be a part of comic book movies, but when it's so contrived it just makes you want to cringe.
