10 Things About The DC Movie Universe That Make No Sense

9. Captain Boomerang Rejoining The Suicide Squad

Here's an example of how clunky editing can break your movie, or at least dent its story with a glaring inconsistency that's mocked across the internet.

Filler content was hacked away mercilessly in Suicide Squad's post production, and Captain Boomerang was the biggest victim, since his 11th-hour return to the eponymous villain collective is all kinds of nonsensical.

There's a scene where the squaddies are holding a boozy bonding session inside a bar, which ends with the Captain cutting ties with the group, confirming in no uncertain terms that he's done with the whole team-up thing.

But when Task Force X is gearing up for the final battle Enchantress and Incubus, he does what boomerangs do best and comes back, without explanation. He's just there doing a slow-motion walk beside Harley Quinn and co.

A scene that bridges the gap between these two events ended up on a congested cutting room floor, but without DVD extras to add context, the Captain's Suicide Squad narrative is baffling.
