6. Nerfing Thanos

If there's one absolute make-or-break element of this film above all others, it's surely the depiction of Thanos, who fans have been waiting to see taking the main antagonist role for over five years now.

Given the Mad Titan's sheer power, especially when wielding the Infinity Gauntlet, it'd be a damn shame if his abilities and general destructive capabilities were toned down in order to give The Avengers a fighting chance.

Thanos instead needs to show up and absolutely annihilate the heroes with a devastating display of force, and anything less would be a major disservice to the iconic villain.

Will It Happen?: It would be such an insane cop-out for Thanos not to straight-up murder several members of The Avengers, and given the huge potential this would have to be an unforgettable cinematic moment, the smart money's on Marvel absolutely capitalising on it.
