10 Things Avengers: Infinity War Must Avoid

3. More Collateral Damage Hand-Wringing

Last year, both Civil War and Batman V Superman seemed obsessed with the notion of collateral damage in superhero movies, and while Civil War in particular did a solid job engaging with the real-world implications of heroes and villains, this really shouldn't be repeated in Infinity War.

With Thanos likely to cause more destruction than the MCU has yet seen, it'd be very easy for the Russos to return to the well for some more ethical debates about The Avengers' place on Earth, but it really feels like time to move on from this discussion as Civil War mined it so thoroughly.

Will It Happen?: There may end up being a scene that alludes to the public reaction to Thanos' arrival on Earth, but with Secretary of State Ross not appearing in the movie, it seems pretty likely that the moral hand-wringing will be kept incredibly subdued compared to Civil War. Fingers crossed.
