10 Things Batman Movies Have Never Gotten Right About The Dark Knight

9. The Batman/Bruce Wayne Balance

Batman Christian Bale
DC Comics

Contrary to popular belief, Bruce Wayne's true persona isn't Batman. As evidenced throughout his comic career, the true Bruce lies somewhere in-between the playboy personality he projects to the public, and the violent vigilante that criminals fear.

To reflect this accurately, both elements of the character must be properly shown - something the movies are yet to deliver on.

The films give primary focus to the Bat-side of Bruce, leaving his few moments as the playboy to the very start of the story or whenever he needs some new tech from Lucius Fox, meaning there is a severe lack of Batman's other half across the character's filmography.

To be honest, this element is one the comics need to improve on as well. Both mediums need to draw from the TellTale game and balance the Bruce/Bat scales.
