10 Things Batman Movies Have Never Gotten Right About The Dark Knight

8. His Commitment To Helping Gotham

If a man were so dedicated to improving his city that he dressed up as a bat every night and punched criminals, then one would also assume he would spend his days finding ways to improve said city through other means. In the case of Batman, this would be correct for the comics, but not the movies.

This is an element that could easily be filed under the aforementioned handling of the Bruce Wayne/Batman balance, as the lack of any substantial Bruce Wayne representation means that the character's use of his wealth and influence to improve Gotham is also overlooked.

Missing out this aspect has led to the clichéd criticism that Bruce Wayne does nothing to account for the damage he does as Batman, or genuinely improve the city. Getting this correct in future movies would go a long way in definitively refuting any such misconceptions.
