10 Things You Didn't Know About Blade Runner

8. Harrison Ford Isn't In The Scene In The Bathroom

It might have taken him many years after Blade Runner was made before Harrison Ford finally reconciled his differences with director Ridley Scott, but there's no denying that it's one of his finest performances. Ford and Scott may have argued back and forth over whether or not Deckard was a replicant (Ford thought his humanity was essential for the confrontation with replicant Roy Batty, something which Rutger Hauer agreed with), but regardless of their disagreements, Ford brings a sensitivity to the role. You'd be forgiven for not noticing that the scene in which Deckard searches an apartment and discovers the snake scale in the bathroom doesn't actually feature Harrison Ford at all - instead, all of the shots are of his long time stunt double Vic Armstrong. Shot at the end of the shot along with a number of other pick-ups, Ford was no longer available so Armstrong stood in for him - while it's understandable you wouldn't notice the difference in shots without his face, there are shots in which Armstrong's face is clearly visible. How many of you noticed this wasn't Harrison Ford when you watched the movie? We're betting not many of you - we certainly didn't.
